The fragrance of my plant is weak a not unpleasant. There is no way that I know of, to know the fragrance of these Dendrobiums from their physical appearance. I once had two Enc. cochleata, one with a pleasant fragrance and another with a loathsome fecal stink. It amused me to place them so that people would smell first the nice one so that they would be startled when they went for a whiff of the stinky one
