Growing orchids in a greenhouse is a little tricky, but knowledge about the orchid variety and their different climatic needs can make it an easier process. In greenhouse the temperatures should be closely maintained always keep the temperatures accurate. Construct water sprayers over the area where the orchids are being grown in the greenhouse. These sprayers should be used at least once a day, and more often during hot weather. If you are not at home to monitor this, install an automatic system with a timer. Adjust according to seasonal needs. Orchids should not be subjected to direct heat, especially not under glass. Use shade cloths to reduce the access of sun. Ensure that these heat blocking items can be moved to allow for the access of winter sun when orchids need more light to stimulate new growth for spring. At the end of the flowering season, orchids go into a resting period during winter/cooler weather months. Keep a resting orchid in full light, dry and unmisted until the first growth shows in spring. Follow any instructions as given for individual orchids as well, which may differ depending on where they have been sourced from.
