Smile Phalus Thankervillae

Thank you very much. I had done some reaserch but of course not being an horticulturist or an botanist I was unsure with what I had found. I will be back with more questions. Many labels were lost over time when my father became ill.

The correct spelling is Phaius tankervilleae
See that you already changed the spelling, that is why you will not be able to search on the internet for more info, runref!

Thought you all would be interested. The Phaius won a blue ribbon at the Connecticut Flower show. Thank you for all your help. Spelling is not one of my strong suits. Appreciate the corrections.

Default Phaius

Perhaps you could give me a little info on how to get my phaius to bloom. I have an adult plant about 3 feet tall in a 10 or 12 gallon pot and it just will not bloom.

Drew,

Mine like to be almost drowned in water (here in texas). I water them nearly every other day, keep shaded but can stand alot of bright sun. Mine are also fertilizer pigs, i feed them at 1/4 - 1/2 strengh every other watering during active growth. A slight cool drop at night in the fall is supposed to help them flower, although I don't believe it needs to be drastic.

Micah
