Default Schilleriana Problems

I grow all my orchids outside in Southern California. However any cross with Schilleriana seems to have a difficult time blooming. Can anyone help me?? They get the same treatment as Laelia Purpuratas, Miltonias, regular Catts, etc., but no blooms..........Suggestions??

In case you haven't read it, there is an excellent article re Cattleya schilleriana on the AOS main site (aos.org). You can access it by clicking on ALL ABOUT ORCHIDS and then scroll down to COLLECTOR'S ITEMS. Hope this helps.

Default Thanks Marci

Thanks for that information. Living in SoCal where summer temps get to 100, I was probably giving them too much water, but I have to be careful that they don't dehydrate. Tricky business, no?
