Greetings,

Steve Rogers, I'm from Southern California.

I grow a pretty wide variety of plants, most suited towards terrarium plants, although I'm expanding my horizons in that regard.

I have a pretty large collection of Jewel Orchids, and I'm always on the look out for new species being imported.

I'm only just starting to branch out into other species of Orchids beyond the Jewels, and I'm hoping to add a lot of interesting species to our growing collection.

Welcome to the forum!

Jewel Orchids...interesting coincidence...there's a fellow on the Southern California orchid growers facebook page who posted that he's looking to purchase a Ludisia discolor.

If you have any photos of your orchids might consider sharing them on the flickr group for SoCal orchid growers.

Since you're looking to expand your horizons, I highly recommend this really great article on Growing Orchids Outdoors in Southern California.

Default welcome, Steve

Living in So Cal, you can grow so many orchids outdoors, depending on where you live. Cymbidiums of course, but laelia anceps do extremely well. Sobralias.
Zygopetalums. Have fun!
