Stewart Orchids?

Hello from Japan,

I am traveling to Los Angeles CA from April 28th to May 3rd. I am going to rent a car and visit Santa Barbara Orchid Estate, Cal-Orchid and Stewart Orchids. But I heard that Stewart Orchids closed several years ago. Is it true?

Unfortunately, yes it is true. Prior to closing for good, Stewart moved from CA to Mississippi, I think it was. In any case, they haven't been around for several years. Enjoy your trip!

It's nice to hear from you again. I'm so glad to hear that everything is alright where you live. The tsunami has been such a terrible tragedy - and I read about it everyday.

Hi Kathy,

I have just returned from my LA trip. This is the first time I have driven a car in the US. It took several hours for me to get used to the left-hand drive car and "keeping right", but I found it not so difficult to drive in the US. I visited not only Santa Barbara Orchid Estate and Cal-Orchid but also Orchids of Los Osos, and I had a nice time there. I hope I will visit other orchid nurseries in the US in the near future.

nice trip, Masa. If you can drive in LA, you can drive anywhere in the US!
