Cycnoches keiki
Morning Steve,
Removing the keiki is phylosophy. I don't remove keikis from any orchid unless it is to be traded for an orchid of equal quality. The objective for me is to grow the plants to maximum expression of quality that the plant possesses. Not all orchids have the necessary genetic material to make them candidates to be grown at all. I have found in 52 years of growing & breeding they can bloom initially & not be of good quality but when left alone to grow undisturbed they can change drastically.
