Happy Columbus Day & Halloween Everyone! Here is the attached newsletter for October, 2011.

On Tuesday, October 4th weʼre having the Annual Orchid Auction! Preview starts at 6:45pm and the auction starts at 7:15pm. Donate plants! Bring money! Bring friends! Buy plants! Here's your chance to begin or expand your devotion to orchids! You may bid on a spectacular selection of great plants which will be available from members, local area growers, as well as some local vendors. Some of the plants will be in bud or bloom. There will be orchid related items up for auction as well. This is our largest fundraiser of the year, so please come and help support your local Orchid Society.

The 11th Annual New Growers Seminar is on Saturday, October 22nd at the Zilker Botanical Gardens Center from 10am-2pm. Lectures and demonstrations on the culture of orchids. Good information, questions answered, refreshments available. No charge for the seminar or exhibit, just come and learn. Orchids will be raffled at the end of the seminar and everyone who attends gets one free ticket and a chance to win a blooming orchid! See you there!
