Happy Valentine’s and Presidents’ Day Everyone! Here is the attached newsletter for February, 2012.

On Tuesday, February 7th Paul Storm and his wife Mary, owners of Meke Aloha Orchids, will be our guest speaker. They have traveled extensively seeking the finest examples of schomburgkia species and hybrids and eventually they began making their own hybrids. They now own the largest and most diverse collection of this group of orchids and their hybrids. Paul is the botanical author of Myrmechea as well as several future Nothogenera. He is actively involved in hybridizing several genera with schomburgkia’s that have never been combined before. Paul is the botanical author of two RHS accepted Nothogenera and the RHS Registrar have created Stormara as a new orchid genus. Some outstanding nurseries and hybridizers have named schomburgkia hybrids after Paul in honor of his schom mission.
