Vanda Pachara Delight First Rebloom

After killing many Vandas over the years I finally have gotten one to grow and rebloom. Vase Culture is working well for me. Last Fall I picked this little one up with 5 blooms. After a few months growing in Vase Culture that bloom count has doubled.

Ray, My humidity is quite low around 20%.

I never expected vase culture to work this well in the beginning. I am very glad it did. I have a V. tessellata seedling that will be in bloom in a few more weeks that was my first test in a vase. It has grown quite well in the past 1.5 years I have had it which lead me to trying this V. Pachara Delight.

Yeah - I see the same with vandaceous plants in semi-hydro culture. Folks living in very dry environments do great, the rest of us kill the plants.

I did try a couple of Vandas in semi-hydro and thay had a slow death. My Neostylis has done well over the years along with a couple of Sarcos but they where the only ones.

Pachara Delight is one of my favorites. It's a very reliable bloomer and a strong growing plant. The dark color is wonderful also. I'm impressed that you got such a great flower spike with vase culture. I've never tried vase culture but your results prove that it works. Good growing and congratulations on a beautiful vanda.
