After growing an unflowered seedling for 1.5 years, here are its first two spikes. The fragrance is wonderful, a combination of grape and vanilla.

That's a beauty, Ted. Another nod to your vase culture. I had one years ago and loved those wonderful tessellations and deep blue lip.

Thanks for your comments. Yep, deffinately not a desert plant. This was my vase culture test plant. Since it did so well in the first few months of having it, it led me to tackling a few others.
