Smile Hello from Montgomery

Hey guys, after 35 years of growing orchids, I got tired of the hobby and quit growing them for about eight years. I started growing Easter cactus but my interest in them lasted for about three years. The other day I was at Wal Mart and they had about five phal. plants that were really neglected. They were only a buck apiece, so I bought two of them. This was about a month ago that I purchased them. They are now putting out new leaves and roots. I now have twelve plants. I have the two phals., a cymbidium, and nine miltonias. It looks like I'm back to growing orchids again. Three years ago I moved from Louisiana to Montgomery, Al. Can someone please tell me where the Montgomery Orchid Society meets because I would like to join. I used to be a member of the Baton Rouge, La. Orchid Society and I really enjoyed being a member of that society. I know Montgomery has a society, but I don't know where it is or when they meet. Thanks

Amazing how two orchids quickly turn into a collection, isn't it? The American Orchid Society main website, aos.org, has a listing of affiliated societies. I checked Alabama on the map and found a few listed. Perhaps one is in your vicinity. Good luck.
