i lost more than 500 orchids and numerous tropicals when the heater went out of my greenhouse when i was on vacation. i was pretty devastated. pair that with a few really bad apples in my club i decided not to replace the collection. that lasted about 6 months. i only have around 30 now, but i get a few more every year. glad to see you still here.

Cody, it must have been heartwrenching to come back from vacation and find your treasured collection in ruin. I would surely have been tempted to throw in the towel, but it's hard to get orchids out of your blood once you've been addicted. I'm glad you are rebuilding and back in action. Happy holidays!

Cody, are you the guy from Maryland? If I remember correctly, you were staying with your parents, then you were getting ready to go to college. You also belonged to the orchid forum at Garden Web. If you're the same guy, I remember you giving advice on what people were doing wrong. If you're the same guy, then it's great to see you back.
