Can anyone point me to a basic resource guide for a grow setup? I have lights, and general horticultural know-how, but I haven't found a great resource for indoor orchid growing.

Jim, your setup looks amazing, and Pook, I love your Orchidarium, but I'm curious about the more specific elements, such as light cycle, temperature in your room, humidity etc...

Anyone?

Jim, your whole setup is wonderfully amazing and the photos are fantastic! I can only wish to have a large area like that one day Who knows?

Default Beautiful Collection

Certainly is a beautiful collection of orchids. I at one time had over 1000 African Violets. I now have three orchids and they are doing quite well.

A few years back I had a couple of orchids but I could never get them to bloom again, so I am now trying again.

WOW...great use of space Maura! Doesn't seem cramped or cluttered and your balcony overlooking the lake still looks as open and airy! Convey my congratulations to Philip for his bonsai and I spy your new bonsai plant there as well. Herons are too difficult to photograph well.

This set up is one set of shelving from Costco plus 4 additional legs and 2 cantilevered shelves. With this set up I didn't have to drill holes in the ceiling to hang the light. I open a window at night and turn a fan on to draw in the cold air. The room can get down into the 30's! The window gets closed in the am and a heater comes on for an hour to warm the room back up to 60F.
Wow great setup really good work man
